Day 3: Buenos Aires to El Calafate

Embark on a delightful day by commencing with a hearty breakfast. Your journey today entails heading to the airport to catch a flight bound for El Calafate. Upon your arrival at El Calafate Airport, you'll be warmly received and escorted to your hotel. This charming hamlet is nestled along the southern shores of Lake Argentina. As the seasons unfold, El Calafate adorns itself with the vibrant hues of yellow flowers in spring and lush purple fruits in summer. The remainder of the day is yours to savour at your own pace, with the option to explore the town independently. Day 4: El Calafate

We kickstart the day with a hearty breakfast to fuel our exciting adventure. Our morning is dedicated to a full-day expedition to the awe-inspiring Perito Moreno Glacier. As we embark on this journey, you'll witness the sheer magnificence of Mother Nature in all her glory.

We depart from El Calafate, tracing the southern shoreline of the sprawling Argentine Lake, a scenic route spanning 90 kilometres, ultimately leading us to the entrance of Los Glaciares National Park. Here, we follow the pathways that guide us towards the imposing glacier.

The Perito Moreno Glacier is an ancient marvel, having stood the test of time for over 30,000 years. Covering an expanse of 192 square kilometres, it boasts an impressive 5-kilometre front wall with peaks reaching heights of up to 80 metres. The glacier's deep blue base is almost as enchanting as the surrounding water. As you stand in its presence, a profound silence envelops you, occasionally broken by the resounding echoes of enormous ice chunks breaking free and plummeting into the lake, where they float gracefully along the Canal de los Tempanos, also known as the Icebergs Channel.

For a more immersive experience, we embark on a Nautical Safari excursion, offering an unparalleled perspective of the grandeur of the Perito Moreno Glacier. The journey commences at Bajo de las Sombras Port, located just 6 kilometres from the Glacier Vantage Point. Visitors board a vessel and sail across Rico Lake. Upon reaching the southernmost point of the Canal de los Tempanos, the ship anchors at a safe distance from the glacier's towering wall. It's from here that the Safari Nautico adventure truly begins, affording you the unique opportunity to observe the glacier's colossal walls and the icebergs that continually calve from its icy face into the serene waters of Rico Lake.

As the day comes to a close, we return to our comfortable hotel in El Calafate for a well-deserved overnight stay.

Situated at the border shared by Brazil and Argentina, the spectacular Iguassu Falls await. Nestled within the enchanting Argentine/Brazilian rainforest, these falls hold the distinction of being the widest and most awe-inspiring waterfalls on our planet. Their name, in the native Guarani language, translates to "Big Waters," a name that perfectly encapsulates their grandeur. Your overnight stay will be at a comfortable hotel in Iguazu.

Day 8: Iguassu

Begin your day with a delicious breakfast before embarking on an adventure to explore the magnificent Argentinean side of the Iguassu Falls. Your journey starts at the New Visitors Center, where you can immerse yourself in the wonders of nature at the Nature's Interpretation Center.

From the Visitors Center, you have the option to hop on a train, which will whisk you away to Cataratas Station in approximately 8 minutes. Alternatively, you can take a leisurely stroll through the "Green Trail," leading you to the starting point of the Upper and Lower trails.

The pinnacle of your journey is the DEVIL'S GORGE. After a scenic train ride from Cataratas Station that takes about 18 minutes, a stroll along the catwalks, suspended some 1,200 meters over the islands, leads you to a breathtaking vista at the most significant observation point: the Devil's Throat.

Conclude your day's adventures and retreat to the comfort of your hotel in Iguazu for a restful overnight stay.
