Both North and South Goa is suitable for a honeymoon. While South Goa is quieter than North Goa, it has more picturesque locations and quite a few quality food and entertainment options to choose from. North Goa is the more crowded, albeit, it has more options for eating out and partying. If you prefer a summer honeymoon visit, then early March to April is the best time to visit. May and October are also popular, but it gets very crowded due to family vacationers with school being out and the afternoons can get very hot especially in the urban areas. For winter lovers, November to early January is the best time to visit. Not only is the weather cooler, but it is also a festive period, with Diwali, Christmas, and New Year, and the atmosphere is very lively. After mid-January, there is a slight off period, so going out options will be lesser, but it’s perfect if you want to avoid the crowd. Monsoon season also makes for romantic getaways. While this is the off-season in Goa, it’s perfect for nature lovers and those looking for a quieter time. Depending on the weather, however, some places may be out of bounds due to rain; also, many beaches get flooded due to high tide on monsoon nights, so you cannot go there for moonlit strolls.
