Both North and South Goa are perfect for a honeymoon. While South Goa is quieter than North Goa, it has picturesque locations and quite a few quality food and entertainment options to choose from.
North Goa is more crowded, albeit it has more options for eating out and partying. If you prefer a summer honeymoon, early March to April is the best time to visit. Thanks to the summer holidays, May to October are hot but ideal for family vacations. But afternoons can get very hot, especially in urban areas.
If you’re planning a winter honeymoon vacation, November to early January is the best time. Not only is the weather cooler, but it is also a festive period, with Diwali, Christmas, and New Year, and the atmosphere is very lively. After mid-January, there is a slight off period, so going out options will be lesser, but it’s perfect if you want to avoid the crowd. Monsoon season also makes for romantic getaways. While this is the offseason in Goa, it’s ideal for nature lovers and those looking for a quieter time. Depending on the weather, however, some places may be out of bounds due to rain; many beaches get flooded due to high tide on monsoon nights, so you cannot go there for moonlit strolls.
