Day 6: Ouarzazate to Marrakech

Today, we embark on a city tour of Ouarzazate, taking in its main attractions. Our first stop is the mesmerising Kasbah Taourirt, a former Glaoui residence. This splendid kasbah, located on the outskirts of the town, is often regarded as one of Morocco's most beautiful. Its intricate architecture includes luxurious apartments, traditional clay houses, and ornate crenelated towers adorned with exquisite geometric patterns. Some parts of this fortified village are accessible to the public.

Continuing our journey, we make our way to the Ait Benhadou Kasbah, located around 30 kilometers from Ouarzazate. This remarkable fortress is renowned for its dramatic appearance and has served as a backdrop for numerous famous films, including "Lawrence of Arabia." Aït Benhaddou is a UNESCO-listed fortified village, boasting crenelated towers and buildings adorned with stunning geometric designs, making it one of the most picturesque villages of its kind in Morocco. Efforts are ongoing to restore and repopulate this historic village, currently home to only five families.

After exploring these cultural treasures, we set off for Marrakech, traversing the Tizin Tichka Pass, the highest pass in Morocco's mountains. This scenic route offers breathtaking views of the Atlas Mountains and the charming village of Taddert. You'll have the option to enjoy lunch either in Benhaddou or in Marrakech.

Upon arrival in Marrakech, we will check in at our hotel and spend the night in this vibrant city. (Breakfast and Dinner included)

Day 7: Marrakech – City Exploration

Today, we will embark on a city tour of Marrakech, the second oldest Imperial City, often referred to as the "Pearl of the South." Founded by the Almoravides in the late 11th century, Marrakesh is nestled in a picturesque oasis, cradled at the base of the snow-capped Atlas Mountains.

In the morning, our journey begins with a visit to the Menara Gardens, a serene retreat. We'll also pass by the majestic Koutoubia Mosque, admiring its exterior beauty. Our next stop takes us to the renowned Bahia Palace and the intriguing Saadian tombs.

Lunch is a leisurely affair, allowing you to explore the local cuisine at your own pace.

In the afternoon, we delve into the vibrant souks (markets) that Marrakech is famous for. Our journey culminates at the iconic Jemaa El Fna Place. This bustling square is the heart of Medina life, brimming with activity both day and night.

By day, it serves as a bustling marketplace, where vendors offer fresh orange juice, nuts, and dried fruits. However, real magic happens at dusk. At 5:00 PM, the square transforms into a hub of entertainment and culinary delights. Food stalls spring to life, dishing up a wide array of vegetables, fish, and meats.

As the evening unfolds, the square becomes a stage for performers of all kinds, including snake charmers, singers, musicians, storytellers, and acrobats. Healers and fakirs offer their remedies and cures. The crowd is a mix of locals and tourists, offering a glimpse into the unchanged Medina life, much like medieval times.

Don't forget to bring some loose change to Jemaa El Fna, as the performers appreciate a token of your gratitude, in addition to applause.

Enjoy a restful night at your Marrakech hotel.

Day 8: Leaving Marrakech

Today, after having your breakfast, it's time to check out of your hotel and make your way to Menara Airport for your return flight.
