Day 2: Exploring Desert Castles and the Dead Sea

After a hearty breakfast, we will start a fascinating journey to the Eastern Desert. Our first stops are the incredible Al Kharraneh Castle, the Amra Castle (a UNESCO World Heritage site), and the historic Al Azraq Castle, which was once the residence of the legendary Lawrence of Arabia, where he penned parts of his renowned work, "Seven Pillars of Wisdom."

We will then continue our adventure to the famous Dead Sea, a natural wonder nestled in the Jordan Valley, about 55 kilometres southeast of Amman. This unique spot is not only the lowest point on Earth but also boasts an incredible richness of natural salts that have accumulated over thousands of years. Immerse yourself in the rejuvenating waters and enjoy the beauty of this unparalleled landscape. After a day filled with exploration, you will return to your Amman hotel where you'll spend the night.

Day 3: Exploring Amman, Jerash, and Ajloun

Kickstart your day with a hearty breakfast. Your adventure begins with the Amman Panoramic tour, offering you a breathtaking view of this vibrant city. Next, we'll take you to the ancient Roman city of Jerash, a treasure trove of history and architecture. Wander through its cobblestone streets, lined with stately columns, and marvel at the grand temples perched on hilltops. You'll discover theatres, expansive public squares, soothing baths, enchanting fountains, and formidable city walls as you explore the secrets of this ancient city.

The journey takes you north to Ajloun, a region known for its ecological and historical significance in the Middle East. The highlight of this visit is the Ajloun Castle, also known as Qal’at Ar‐Rabad. This stunning fortress is a prime example of Islamic architecture, dating back to 1184 AD when it was constructed by Saladin's general. The castle's purpose was to oversee the iron mines of Ajloun and thwart the advances of the Crusaders. It stood tall as a guardian, controlling the three main routes leading to the Jordan valley and safeguarding the crucial communication links between Jordan and Syria. As the day draws to a close, you will return to your comfortable hotel in Amman, where a delicious dinner awaits. You can look forward to a restful overnight stay.

Day 4: Journey from Amman to Petra via Madaba, Mount Nebo, and Little Petra

Today, following a hearty breakfast, you will start off on an exciting adventure through some of Jordan's most remarkable destinations.

Your first stop will be Madaba, a city renowned for its historic treasures. Here, you'll discover the famous 6th-century Mosaic map of Jerusalem and the Holy Land. Madaba is also celebrated for its astonishing Byzantine and Umayyad mosaics, which are sure to leave you in awe. While in Madaba, you will pay a visit to the beautiful St. George's Church, an iconic religious site.

Continuing your journey, you will head to Little Petra, also known as Al Beidha due to the pale rock colours that define its unique landscape. Little Petra, or Siq al‐Barid, which translates to "the cold canyon," is a fascinating archaeological site situated to the north of Petra and the town of Wadi Musa. This site is a testament to the Nabataean culture, with intricate buildings carved into the sandstone canyon walls. As its name implies, Little Petra is a smaller-scale wonder, featuring three more open areas connected by a 450-metre canyon. It's worth noting that although it's part of the Petra Archaeological Park, it's accessed separately. The day concludes as you find your way to a comfortable hotel in Petra, where you will enjoy a delightful dinner and spend the night.

Day 5: Exploring Petra - A Visit to the Enchanting Red Rose City

Start your day with a hearty breakfast and get ready to embark on a remarkable adventure as you journey to Petra, the Nabatean Red Rose city. Petra is not just a remarkable place, but it's also one of the seven wonders of the world and a UNESCO World Heritage site.

To enter this awe-inspiring city, you will traverse a 1-kilometre-long, narrow gorge, nestled between towering cliffs that reach an impressive height of 80 metres. As you make your way through, take a moment to appreciate the dazzling array of colours and intricate rock formations that surround you.

Petra is nothing short of massive, and it's teeming with wonders waiting to be discovered. You'll encounter numerous intricately carved rock-cut tombs, a treasury that's sure to leave you in awe, Roman-style theatres where history comes to life, temples steeped in antiquity, sacrificial altars that tell tales of tradition, and colonnaded streets that bear witness to centuries of civilization. After a day filled with exploration and wonder, you will return to your comfortable hotel in Petra for a well-deserved dinner.
