Itinerary

Visiting Europe has been a dream for many Indians. With its beautiful cities, environment-friendly policies, and rich history, it’s sure not to disappoint. At GT Holidays, we have the best budget-friendly Europe trip packages for you. Here’s what a typical itinerary looks like:

Day 1 – Arrive In Paris

Upon arrival in Paris, our tour manager will greet you and help you transfer to the hotel. Complete check-in formalities and spend the rest of the day exploring the neighboring places around the hotel.

Day 2 – Paris Hop On Hop Off Tour

After a delectable Parisian breakfast that includes various cold cuts, breads, and cheese, embark on a city tour through a Hop On Hop Off tour. This tour covers the city’s most famous attractions with an audio commentary in English and French. Some of the places you will visit include Champs Elysees, Arc de Triomphe, Place de la Concorde, Les Invalides, the Tuileries Garden, and the Louvre.

In the evening, you will embark on a cruise on the Seine River and end the day exploring the Latin Quarters to enjoy its lively atmosphere and bistros.

Day 3 – Disneyland, Paris (Optional)

You can customise your Europe trip package to include Disneyland, Europe’s largest Disney Park. The journey from Paris to Disneyland takes about an hour, but you can take in the scenery during the drive. Located in Marne-la-Vallée, France, this magical theme park features iconic Disney characters, thrilling rides, enchanting parades, and immersive attractions, captivating visitors of all ages year-round.

You could either spend the night at a Disney-themed hotel in Disneyland, or board the Hop On Hop Off coach to return to Paris.

Day 4 – Paris To Interlaken

After breakfast, check out of your hotel in Paris to reach the train station to catch the Interlaken train. The journey takes around 5 hours and is loved for its scenic views. Note: There are no direct trains to Interlaken; you’ll need at least one change.

Upon arrival, check in to your hotel. You can spend the rest of the day at leisure, exploring places in and around your hotel.

Day 5 – Interlaken To Jungfrau

Today, you’ll be exploring Jungfrau, a scenic summit in the Bernese Alps. Board the train from Interlaken to Grindelwald, Switzerland’s most famous mountain resort. You’ll deboard here to catch the cogwheel train to Jungfraujoch. Don’t miss the scenic train journey as it passes through Kleine Scheidegg to reach Jungfraujoch, the highest railway station in Europe.

Some of the things you will explore here include the adventure-packed Alpine Sensation, a 250-metre-long corridor that connects the Sphinx Hall and Ice Palace, and the Sphinx Observatory for a panoramic view of the Alps from its viewing deck. Don’t miss the Top of Europe building with its many restaurants, shops, and a permanent exhibition. The Ice Palace, a series of ice tunnels with intricately carved ice sculptures, is equally interesting. Jungfraujoch is the best place for adventure activities, including ice skating and skiing.

Spend the night in Interlaken.

Day 6 - Interlaken To Lucerne

Check out of your hotel in Interlaken to board the train to Lucerne. The journey takes around 2 hours. It is famous for its panoramic views of the Alpine mountains, picturesque lakes, and idyllic countryside. Upon arrival at the train station, our tour manager will help you check in to the hotel. Spend the rest of the day exploring places in and around the hotel.

Spend the night in Lucerne.

Day 7 – Lucerne To Mount Titlis

After breakfast, proceed to catch the Lucerne Engelberg Express to reach Engelberg. From Engelberg station, there are free shuttle buses that take you to Mount Titlis, Central Switzerland’s tallest mountain. While there are plenty of other activities like skiing, cliff walking, etc., Mount Titlis is most famous for ROTAIR, the world’s first rotating cable car. You can also take an ice flyer, a chair lift that takes you over huge snow fields. Grab some delicious lunch at one of the many restaurants offering a scenic view of the Alps.

Return to Lucerne to spend the night at the hotel.

Day 8 – Lucerne To Milan

After breakfast, check out of the hotel to take your train to Milan, the economic capital of Italy. The journey takes around 4-5 hours and is breathtakingly beautiful as the train passes through snowcapped mountains and the sparkling Lake Lucerne. Check in to the hotel in Lucerne and spend the rest of the day exploring nearby places.

Day 9 – Milan, Venice

After breakfast, move on to explore the city’s beautiful attractions, including the Duomo di Milano. Check out of your hotel to take your train to Venice. Board a Venetian water taxi to reach the hotel. Check into the hotel and wait for your tour guide to take you to St. Mark’s Square, for a relaxing 1.5 hours walking tour. We’ll cover Venice’s most iconic attractions, including the Ducal Palace and the Bell Tower.

Return to Merceria for some shopping. Spend the night in Venice.

Day 10 – Venice to Florence

Check out of the hotel in Venice to catch your train to Florence. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel and spend some time relaxing. Later, you’ll be taken for a tour of the Leaning Tower of Pisa. You’ll climb to the top of the tower for an impressive view of the cathedral and the city. Go inside the Baptistery built in ornate Gothic style.

At the end of the guided tour, take pictures of the tower and the neighbouring places before returning to Florence. Spend the night in Florence.

Day 11 – Florence Walking Tour

After breakfast, proceed for a guided walking tour of the city, exploring its ancient and famous buildings. Some of the places you will cover include the Repubblica Square, the Cathedral, the Signoria Square, Palazzo Vecchio, and Loggia de Lanzi.

You will also visit the Uffizi Gallery, an art gallery that houses beautiful collections of the Renaissance period. The tour will finish with a view of the beautiful city from the Uffizi Terrace.

Spend the night in Florence.

Day 12 – Florence To Rome

Check out of the hotel in Florence for a train to Rome. The journey takes around 1-2 hours. Transfer to the hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure, exploring places in and around the hotel.

Day 13 – Rome City Tour

After breakfast, head for a tour where you’ll be visiting the city’s famous monuments by coach and by foot. Some of the attractions you will cover include Piazza della Repubblica, Fountain of the Naiads, Trevi Fountain, La Colonna di Marco Aurelio, the Palazzo di Montecitorio, the Pantheon, Palazzo, Palazzo Madama, Piazza Navona, Via dei Coronari, Castel Sant'Angelo and Via della Conciliazione. Not to mention the Colosseum and St. Peter’s Basilica.

Spend the night in Rome

Day 14 – Depart Rome

Bid adieu to Rome as you catch your flight to return home or proceed to the next leg of your Europe tour.
