Day 1: Arrival in Saigon – Explore the City

Today, you will arrive at Saigon, now called Ho Chi Minh City, which is a lively place in Vietnam. After landing at the airport, we will take you to the city centre and help you check in at the hotel.

In the evening, our city tour begins at the Reunification Palace, where the Vietnam War came to an end in 1975. This big building is now a museum. Nearby, you will find the Central Post Office, a beautiful old building that's a big deal in the city. You will take a stroll on Nguyen Hue street to see the Opera House and the Ho Chi Minh Committee. After that, you will have a walk to Ben Thanh Market, a famous spot in Saigon where you can see how the locals live and buy handmade goods. You'll spend the night at the hotel in Saigon.

Day 2: Saigon – Mekong Delta – Saigon

After a delicious breakfast, you will head to My Tho. Once you arrive there, you will hop on a boat and cruise along the mighty Mekong River. This will give you a chance to see how the local people live along the riverbanks. You will make a stop at one of the four islands in the area for some sightseeing. Next, you will take small boats rowed by local people through narrow canals with water coconut trees. You will visit local factories where they make honey tea and coconut candy milk. You can even try these tasty treats! If you're interested, you can also take a stroll in the garden where locals take care of honeybees.

After this, you will enjoy a horse-cart ride through the peaceful village roads and have a light lunch at a local restaurant near the Mekong River, featuring Elephant Ear fish. In the evening, we will drive back to Saigon with a stop to visit Vinh Trang Pagoda, a famous pagoda with a unique mix of Chinese, Cambodian, and French cultural influences. You will be spending the night at the hotel in Saigon.

Day 3: Saigon – Cu Chi Tunnels Tour – Phnom Penh

After breakfast, you will go and see the Cu Chi Tunnels, an important site from the Vietnam War. These tunnels, stretching for 200 kilometres, were dug by hand and used by Vietnamese guerrilla forces during the war. Before the Tet Offensive in 1968, almost 10,000 soldiers were based in this tunnel complex. Today, it stands as a powerful reminder of the intensity of the war. You can even try crawling through some parts of the tunnels to get a real feel for what it was like.

In the afternoon, you will head to the airport for a flight to Phnom Penh. When you arrive in Phnom Penh, our representative will be there to pick you up and take you to the hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to relax. You will stay overnight at the hotel in Phnom Penh.

Day 4: Phnom Penh City Tour

After breakfast today, you will check out some amazing places in the city. First, you will visit the royal palace complex built in 1866 with vibrant Khmer-style architecture by King Norodom's predecessors. Nearby is the Silver Pagoda, also known as the Emerald Buddha temple, filled with Buddha statues adorned with gold, diamonds, gemstones, and silver.

You will make a stop at the Independence Monument and explore the National Museum, a beautiful building with Khmer architecture. It houses over 5000 art antiques made from materials like bronze, wood, gold, silver, copper, and sandstone. As you stroll through the river-front park where four rivers meet, including the mystical Mekong, you will walk up to the sacred hill Phnom Daun Penh.

In the afternoon, you will visit Tuol Sleng prison, now known as the Genocide Museum, a hidden part of the Khmer Rouge regime. It was called S-21, a security camp designed for questioning and eliminating those opposed to the Khmer Rouge, leaving a dark part of Cambodia's history. To end the day on a brighter note, you will go shopping around the Russian market. You will spend the night at the hotel in Phnom Penh.

Day 5: Depart Phnom Penh

After breakfast this morning, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight back home or to your next destination.
