As you arrive at the airport, our tour manager will welcome you and help you transfer to the hotel. Complete the check-in formalities and spend the rest of the day leisurely, enjoying places around the hotel.
Spend the night at a luxury hotel in Moscow.
Russia’s capital and largest city, Moscow, has an incredible history and culture. It combines the best of old and modern architecture with beautiful boulevards, granite embankments of the Moscow River, and historic museums.
Today, after breakfast, you will head out for a city tour. Some of the sights you will cover include Poklonnaya Hill, New Maiden Convent, and Vorobievy Hills. You will drive by some of Moscow’s famous streets, including Tverskaya Street, Manezhnaya Square, and Lubianka Square. Don’t miss Savoir Cathedral, the Kremlin, Ohotny Riad, Bolshoy Theatre, and Kropotkinskaya Embankments.
End the tour with a visit to Red Square and cover the different cathedrals around the Kremlin.
Spend the night in Moscow.
Today, after breakfast, head out for a guided tour of Old Arbat Street, a famous cobblestone street and one of the oldest in Moscow. The tour will cover some famous architectural marvels, street shows, and browse shops selling souvenirs. Learn about the street’s history and enjoy the artisan culture around it.
Return to the hotel in the evening to spend the night in Moscow.
After breakfast, you will head to Izmailovo, a suburb of Moscow. The Izmailovo Kremlin is famous for its souvenirs, paintings, antiques, and second-hand trifles. The Izmailovo Market is also the largest flea market in Moscow.
Spend the day shopping to your heart’s content and return to your hotel in Moscow.
Check out your hotel and head to the train station to catch the Sapsan train to reach St Petersburg. The journey takes around 4 hours and is extremely comfortable. Our guide will meet you at the station and help you check into the hotel.
You are free to spend the rest of the day at leisure, enjoying the beautiful neighbourhoods around the hotel.
Spend the night in St Petersburg.
St Petersburg is Russia’s cultural capital, founded in 1703 by order of the Russian Emperor Peter the Great. Some of the city's attractions include mosques, churches, and imperial palaces built during the reign of Peter the Great. The Winter Palace and Peter and Paul Cathedral are highlights of the city.
After breakfast, some places you will cover include Spit of the Basil Island, St Isaac Cathedral, Palace Square, Church of the Saviour on Spilled Blood, and the Aurora. You will drive by Nevsky Prospekt, a famous street built during the reign of Catherine II the Great. Some other attractions include the Neva Embankments, Isaac’s Square, Arts Square, and the famous Peter and Paul fortress, which is the burial site of the Russian royal family.
Spend the night in St Petersburg.
Today, you will explore the famous Winter Palace, a former royal residence of the Russian royal family. The palace is now converted into the Hermitage Museum, which has an impressive collection of over 3 million items, including paintings, sculptures, crockery, costumes, and a huge range of weaponry dating back to the Middle Ages.
Spend the day exploring the different buildings within the Palace complex and return to your hotel in the evening.
Today, head to Pushkin, a town in St Petersburg famous for its palaces and parks. The city was earlier named Detskoye Selo, or Children’s Village, and later renamed Pushkin in honour of the legendary Russian poet Alexander Pushkin.
You will visit the beautiful Alexander and Catherine Palace. The latter is believed to be so richly decorated that even Catherine, famed for her extravagance, couldn’t keep up with its upkeep costs. The Amber Room within the Palace is truly extravagant, with over 6 tonnes of amber panels.
Spend the rest of the day shopping and exploring places around Pushkin. Return to your hotel in St Petersburg.
Today, you will bid goodbye to this beautiful country to catch your flight to return home.
