Itinerary

South Sweden has architectural marvels, white beaches, gorgeous islands, and historical sites. You can explore all its stunning landmarks with our Southern Sweden trip package.

Day 1: Arrive in Stockholm - Gamla Stan - Vasa Museum - ABBA The Museum

After you land in Stockholm, you must reach your hotel on your own. After checking in, you can freshen up and head out for a day of sightseeing in the capital of Sweden.

The first stop is the Vasa Museum, famous for a ship that dates back to the 17th century. It is one of the most famous museums in Stockholm and opened in 1990. Later, walk to Gamla Stan or Old Town, filled with cafes, studios, galleries, restaurants, and stores.

Are you an ABBA fan? If so, you will love ABBA The Museum.

Day 2: Stockholm – Gothenburg – Liseberg - New Alvsborg Fortress - Maritiman

Board a train from Stockholm to Gothenburg on your second day. Explore the Liseberg, the world’s oldest amusement park, which has existed since 1923. Go on a boat cruise to the New Alvsborg Fortress before heading to the maritime museum of Maritiman, which has a unique collection of 19 vessels, boats, ships, and barges.

Day 3: Gothenburg – Malmo - Malmohus Castle

Get on a train from Gothenburg to Malmo, the first fair trade city in Sweden. Malmo is famous for its flea markets, shopping centers, and cultural experience. Walk around Malmohus Castle, a Renaissance-style building converted into a museum during the 1930s. Spend the night at your hotel in Malmo.

Day 4: Malmo - Ystad – Malmo

Today you will explore Ystad, a coastal town. From historical landmarks to sandy beaches, Ystad is the perfect little getaway for travelers.

The town gained popularity due to the Kurt Wallander book series by Swedish author Henning Mankell, who bases these books on a rookie detective named Kurt Wallander. The books are now adapted into a TV series. You will learn more about this on our guided tour in an old converted fire engine.

Return to Malmo later in the day and spend the night at your hotel.

Day 5: Depart from Malmo

Check out from your hotel and head to the airport to board your flight home.
