Cambodia is home to Angkor Wat, the eighth wonder of the ancient world and one of the largest temple complexes in the world. Upon your arrival at the Phnom Pen International Airport, our tour manager will welcome you and help you transfer to the hotel. On your way to the airport, don’t miss the beautiful buildings that beautifully blend French colonial and traditional Khmer architecture and the scenic tree-lined streets.
Check into your hotel and spend some time relaxing. Later, you will visit some of Phnom Penh’s iconic attractions like the Royal Palace, Wat Phnom Daun Penh, the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum, and the Silver Pagoda, famous for the Temple of the Emerald Buddha. The temple contains several Buddha statues decorated with precious stones and made using gold and diamonds.
The National Museum is another popular attraction. It houses several artefacts from the Khmer tradition, including 5,000 art antiques made in bronze, wood, gold, silver, copper, and sandstone.
Spend the night at a hotel in Phnom Penh.
Today, you will visit the Tuol Sleng prison, which has been converted into a Genocide Museum. Your next stop is the Russian Market, where you can shop for traditional Cambodian artefacts and trendy apparel.
This afternoon, you will head to Silk Island for a boat ride to enjoy the scenic views of the Mekong River. During the 1.5-hour drive, you will view houses built on stilts. The homes also have workshops below, which are used to weave silk into stunning pieces.
Return to the Mekong River cruise to enjoy the spectacular sunset amidst the backdrop of the Royal Palaces. Spend the night at the hotel in Phnom Penh.
