Itinerary

Tuscany is the most popular Italian region, famous for its renowned art and architecture, museums, medieval towns, rolling hills, stunning countryside, and, most importantly, its food. If you plan to explore this region, check our Rome and Venice (Italy) tour package itinerary.

Day 1: Arrive In Rome

Welcome to a city that was once the capital of the greatest empires of the ancient world! Upon your arrival at Rome International Airport, our tour manager will guide you to a private car to catch your train to Venice. The journey takes around 3.5 hours on a high-speed train.

Check in to your hotel and spend the rest of the day exploring the many places in and around your hotel.

Spend the night at a luxury hotel in Rome.

Day 2: Venice Island Tour

Venice is a beautiful city and one of the most visited in the world. After breakfast, you’ll catch the Alilaguna boat at St. Mark’s Square. You’ll see Murano Island, famous for its glassmaking. Historians believe the industry began around the 1200s and has flourished ever since.

Your next stop is Burano Island. This place was once described as a mini-Venice and is famous for its colourful houses, Venetian masks, and lacemaking. Your boat trip ends with a trip to Torcello Island, known for Santa Maria Assunta Cathedral, Venice’s first cathedral and the Museum of Torcello.

Return to your hotel to spend the night in Venice.

Day 3: Venice – Florence – Pisa

After a quick breakfast, you will take a train to Florence. The journey takes around 3 hours and offers a breathtakingly beautiful view of the vast Italian countryside. Florence is considered the birthplace of the Renaissance and a major centre for art, architecture, and culture. After arriving in Florence, check into your hotel and relax before visiting the historic University of Pisa.

Some places you will visit in Pisa include the Leaning Tower, Piazza dei Miracoli, Duomo, Piazza dei Cavalieri, and the historic Scuola Normale. The Pisa Battistero is over 600 years old and is the largest baptistery in Italy. It is considered a masterpiece of Romanesque art.

Move to Florence in the evening to spend the night in the city.

Day 4: Florence – Rome

Enjoy your Italian breakfast spread and head out for a city tour. Some of the famous places you will enjoy today include the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, Uffizi Galleries, the Ponte Vecchio, Piazzale Michelangelo, Piazza della Signoria, the Duomo, and Palazzo Pitti.

After lunch, you will move to Rome to enjoy the last leg of your Rome and Venice (Italy) tour package. In the evening, you will explore the Exhibition Palace, the Fountain of the Naiads, the Capitoline Museum, and the Piazza Venezia. If time permits, you will also cover the Roman Forum, The Coliseum, St. Peter’s Basilica, Porta Flaminia, The Arch of Constantine, The Circus Maximus, Piazza Navona, and the Trevi Fountain.

Spend the night at a luxury hotel in Rome.

Day 5: Vatican City

After breakfast, you are free to enjoy the rest of the day at leisure or continue visiting sites you left out yesterday. There are plenty of flea markets in Rome that you can see today or take an optional tour of the city’s multiple attractions like Piazza Venezia and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

After lunch, you will visit the Vatican City. Some attractions include the Sistine Chapel, the Vatican Museum, St. Peter’s Basilica, and the Gardens of Vatican City.

Return to your hotel to relax and prepare for departure tomorrow.

Day 6: Departure:
