Day 1: Arrival in Beijing
On the first day of your journey, you will board a flight to China, landing at the Beijing Capital International Airport. Upon your arrival, you will be warmly greeted by our tour representatives and efficiently transferred to your designated hotel. After the journey, take some time to relax and explore the city at your own pace. In the evening, you have the choice to attend an Acrobatic show; please note that this option does not include meals.
Day 2: Exploring Beijing
Begin your day with a satisfying breakfast at your hotel. Get ready to embark on a comprehensive city tour that will include visits to the Summer Palace, the Marble Boat, a Pearl Shop, and the exquisitely painted "Long Corridor." Don't miss the opportunity to witness the grandeur of Tian'anmen Square, the world's largest square.
Proceed to the Forbidden City, where the Emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties ruled for more than 500 years. You also have the option to partake in a Hutong tour or a Rickshaw tour, allowing you to delve deeper into the local culture. Your next destination is Houhai, situated in the heart of Beijing and renowned for its vibrant nightlife, offering an array of bars, cafes, and restaurants. In the evening, you can choose to attend the Kongku show. Conclude the day with a delightful dinner at an Indian restaurant before returning to your hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 3: Beijing
Begin your day with a hearty breakfast and embark on a city tour of Beijing. Your first stop is the Longdi Jade Shop, where you'll have the opportunity to learn about the rich Chinese Jade culture. Next, proceed to the legendary Great Wall at Juyong Pass, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its monumental defensive fortifications. In the afternoon, explore the iconic Bird’s Nest and Water Cube. You'll be provided with a packed Indian dinner box for your evening meal. Later, return to the Railway Station for an overnight train journey to Xian.
Day 4: Xian - Arrival at 08:09 by Z19
Upon your arrival at Shanghai Hongqiao railway station, you'll be greeted by our tour representatives and transferred to your hotel. After a brief respite, you will delve into history by visiting the awe-inspiring Terra Cotta Warriors, a remarkable collection that dates back over 2000 years and forms part of Emperor Qin's subterranean tomb. Later in the day, explore a ceramic shop and the Shaanxi Historical Museum, where you can admire magnificent bronzes and porcelain artefacts. You also have the option to attend a mesmerising Tang Dynasty performance showcasing ancient Chinese dance and music. Conclude the day with a delicious meal at an Indian restaurant before returning to your hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 5: Xi'an to Hangzhou
Travel via the Z88/Z85 train with a soft berth, departing at 1948 and arriving at 1213 the following day.
Begin your day by checking out of your hotel and heading to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda square, a renowned location known for its classical buildings adorned with intricately carved beams and beautifully painted rafters. Afterward, make your way to the Muslim Bazaar, situated just 100 metres west of the Bell Tower. Here, you'll discover a variety of souvenir shops, unique market stalls, and bars managed by the local Muslim community. You'll be provided with a packed Indian dinner box before proceeding to the train station for an overnight journey to Shanghai.
Day 6: Explore Hangzhou
Upon your arrival at Hangzhou Railway Station, our tour representatives will be there to welcome you and assist with your transfer to the Flower and Fishpond. Enjoy a delightful boat ride on West Lake and visit a Hangzhou silk shop. In the evening, relish an Indian dinner at the same location.
Day 7: Hangzhou to Shanghai by Car
Begin the day by checking out from the hotel at 10:00 AM. Your first stop is the Lingyin Temple, where you can seek blessings. Afterward, you will embark on a car journey to Shanghai. Upon your arrival, explore People Square and Nanjing Road for some shopping. You also have the choice to visit the Madame Tussauds wax museum in Shanghai. Continue your day with a visit to the picturesque Yuyuan Garden, where you can admire the Nine Zig Zag Bridge, the Golden Fishpond, and various bridges and pavilions. Don't forget to explore the vibrant Yu Market and Taoist temple in Shanghai. An optional program is available from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. In the evening, immerse yourself in the nightlife of Xintiandi, known for its lively music and dancing. Conclude the day with dinner at an Indian restaurant before returning to your hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 8: Shanghai
Start your day early by visiting the renowned Jade Buddha Temple, the most famous Buddhist temple in Shanghai. Take a break at a tea shop and savor a cup of robust tea. Next, head to Taobao City for some shopping. In the afternoon, you have the option to visit the Shanghai Aquarium after 4:00 PM. In the evening, explore the Bund and make a visit to the 2nd level of the Oriental Pearl TV tower. Additionally, consider the optional program of a Huangpu River Cruise.
Day 9: Shanghai to India - by International Flight
Enjoy a leisurely morning and have breakfast at your convenience. Then, you will be transferred to the International Airport for your flight back home. As an alternative, you can choose to experience the Maglev Train on your way to Pudong Airport.
