Day 1: Arrive in Geneva – Zermatt
After you land in Geneva, take a train to Zermatt. With its breathtaking scenery and cultural heritage, Zermatt is a must-visit destination for people who love the outdoors. Once you reach the hotel and complete all the necessary formalities, you will have the rest of the day to spend at your own pace.
Day 2: Zermatt – Gornergrat – Matterhorn
The Gornergrat Railway will take you from Zermatt to Gornergrat. At 3082 metres above sea level, Gornergrat is famous for its open-air cog railway. You can see over 29 mountain peaks from this place, including the famous Matterhorn, Switzerland’s most famous peak. Spend the night at your hotel in Zermatt.
Day 3: Zermatt – Geneva - St. Pierre Cathedral - Conservatory and Botanical Garden - Museum of Art and History
Board a train that will take you from Zermatt to the beautiful city of Geneva. Check in to your hotel and head out for a day of sightseeing.
We will start with the St. Pierre Cathedral, a former Roman Catholic cathedral that was converted during the Reformation into a Reformed Protestant Church of Geneva. After this, explore the Conservatory and Botanical Garden, spread over 28 hectares. The herbarium here has over six million samples.
Head over to the Museum of Art and History, which provides tourists with details regarding the history of Western culture and how the world looked during the ancient era.
Day 4: Lake Geneva - Geneva Water Fountain - Mini Train Tour
On the fourth day, visit Lake Geneva, the largest water body in Switzerland. See the Geneva Water Fountain, one of the most beloved landmarks in the city and one of the world’s tallest fountains.
End the day by taking a mini-train tour to Geneva's Old Town.
Day 5: Depart from Geneva
Check out from your hotel and head to the airport to board your flight back home.
