Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrive Bucharest

Arrive on Henri Coanda International Airport, transfer to hotel. Overnight at the hotel in Bucharest.

Day 2 : Bucharest – Sibiu, 300 km aprox. 6 hrs

This morning join the group and leave for Sibiu; On the way, you’ll enjoy the fortified monastery of Cozia (dated in XIV century). Lunch at local restraunt . Continue to Sibiu and enjoy an afternoon walking tour of Sibiu, see the city centre in order to see the Large and Small Squares, with Liars’ Bridge. Overnight at the hotel in Sibiu. (B & L)

Day 3 : Sibiu – Alba Iulia – Cluj Napoca, 180 km aprox. 3 hrs

Today depart to Cluj Napoca via Alba Iulia, a city with great history, known as Apullum during the Roman Empire, the city became one of the most important Romanian city, being the location where all Romanians got united in 1918.Visit the medieval citadel with the orthodox cathedral. Lunch at local restaurant. In the afternoon continue to Cluj Napoca, the biggest city of Transylvania. After arrival panoramic tour of the city with both Catholic and Orthodox Cathedrals. Overnight at the hotel in Cluj Napoca. (B & L )

Day 4 : Cluj Napoca – Turda - Targu Mures , 115 km aprox. 2hrs

Today proceed to one of the Romanian wonders, Turda salt mine. Being at almost 1km under the surface the salt mine has more than 45 km of tunnels and halls and now is a veritable underground museum and an island of health. After the visit, lunch at local restaurant continue to Targu Mures. Sightseeing tour of the city, Overnight at the hotel in Targu Mures. (B & L)

Day 5 : Targu Mures – Brasov, 170 km aprox. 3hrs

This morning depart to Sighisoara. Located in the heart of Transylvania, (World Heritage site) this is the hometown of Vlad the Impaler and is considered to be one of the most beautiful medieval citadels in Europe. Though it is still inhabited, you will be amazed by the charm and mystery that surround it. Lunch at local restaurant In the afternoon departure to Brasov. Overnight at the hotel in Brasov. (B & L)

Day 6 : Brasov - Prejmer – Bran,150 km approx. 2h30’

Morning excursion to Prejmer Fortified Citadel (World Heritage site) built by Teutonic Knights in 1212- 1213. Continue the visit with Bran Castle, the fortress built in the 14th century, worldwide known as Dracula’s Castle. Lunch at local restaurant. In the afternoon enjoy visiting Brasov, formerly known as Kronstadt, medieval town that used to be the capital of Transylvania. Take a walk in the Council Square and admire the impressive Black Church. Overnight at the hotel in Brasov. (B & L)

Day 7 : Brasov – Sinaia – Bucuresti, 200 km, aprox. 3 hrs

Proceed to Bucharest via Sinaia. Visit Peles Castle, former summer residence of the royal family of Romania, built in the 19th century by the first King of Romania – Carol the 1st. Nowadays this castle hosts an impressive collection of weapons and art object. Lunch at local restaurant and continue to Bucharest. Panoramic tour of the city with Revolution Square, Triumph Arch, Patriarchy Church, entry to Open Air Village Museum. Overnight at the hotel in Bucharest. (B)

Day 8 : Depart Bucharest

Check out from the hotel transfer to airport for flight back to hometown. (B)
