Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive In Bucharest

Upon arrival at Bucharest International Airport, our tour manager will help you transfer to the hotel and complete check-in formalities. Spend the rest of the day exploring the area around the hotel.

Overnight in Bucharest.

Day 2: Bucharest – Sibiu

Today, after a hearty breakfast, head out for a short tour of Bucharest. Today, you will explore the Palace of Parliament, Stavropoleos Monastery, the National Bank of Romania, the Romanian Athenaeum, the Herastrau Park, the Village Museum, and the Arch de Triumph.

Later, you will move to Sibiu, exploring many historic villages and castles. The first stop is Poenari. The Poenari Castle is believed to be the original castle of Vlad the Impaler, the ruler of Wallachia, who is supposed to be the inspiration behind Bram Stoker’s fictional character, Count Dracula.

Continue the journey towards Sibiu, a beautiful medieval city named the European Cultural Capital, in 2007. The town offers a beautiful view of the snowy peaks of the Fagaras Mountains on the one side and the Cindrel Mountains on the other. Some of the places you will explore here include the three squares, viz., Big, Small, and Huet Squares, the Liar’s Bridge, the Clock Tower, and the Evangelical Church, one of the largest evangelical churches built in Gothic style in Transylvania.

Day 3: Sibiu – Borgo Pass

Today, you will explore some places mentioned in Bram Stoker’s novel Dracula. The novel covers three regions: Transylvania, Moldavia, and Bucovina. On the way, enjoy lunch at Bran Castle Restaurant, a castle associated with the novel. After sampling some of the region’s local food, head to Borgo Pass and spend the night at Castle Dracula.

Overnight in Pasul Bargaului.

Day 4: Borgo Pass – Sighisoara

After breakfast, check the hotel and head to Sighisoara, the hometown of Vlad the Impaler. The Clock Tower in Sighisoara is a historic citadel and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Some attractions you will visit include The Covered Stairway, Biserica din Deal, and the beautiful Catholic Church.

Day 5: Sighisoara – Brasov

After breakfast, check out and head to Brasov, a medieval town once Transylvania's capital. Some attractions here include the impressive Black Church and the Council Square. You will also visit the hill where Vlad the Impaler supposedly impaled his victims.

Spend the night in Brasov.

Day 6: Brasov – Bucharest

Today, you will check out of your hotel to reach Bucharest, Romania’s capital city. Stop at Snagov Island to visit the Snagov Monastery, where Vlad the Impaler is believed to be buried.

Day 7: Depart Bucharest

Check out of the hotel to head to the Bucharest International Airport to catch your flight back home or continue with the rest of your Europe tour package journey.
