Upon your arrival at the Colombo International Airport, our tour manager will welcome you and help you transfer to Kandy, Sri Lanka’s second-largest city. Kandy was the last capital city of the Sinhalese royal family and is famous for its colonial architecture and ancient temples.
Check into the hotel and spend some time exploring places around the neighbourhood.
After breakfast, head to the Temple of the Tooth Relic, a UNESCO World Heritage site famous for hosting the Buddha's canine tooth. The tooth is taken on a procession yearly as part of the Perahara, a 10-day annual festival.
Some of the other places you will visit include the Royal Botanical Garden, the Kandy Lake, and the Ceylon Tea Museum.
Spend the night in Kandy.
After a leisurely breakfast, check out of the hotel and head to Colombo. You will explore major tourist attractions in Sri Lanka’s capital city, including the Colombo Museum, the Gangaramaya Temple, and the Viharamahadevi Temple.
Spend the evening shopping at the local markets before returning to the hotel.
After breakfast, check out of the hotel and complete your shopping expedition. Later, drive to the airport to continue with your return journey.
