Spain is a beautiful country famous for its architectural wonders, bullfights, fabulous food, and vibrant culture. If you’re planning to visit the country, here’s our Spain travel package itinerary you must check:
Day 1: Arrive at Bilbao - Catedral de Santiago
After you land in Bilbao, our tour representatives will greet you at the airport and take you to your hotel. We’ll leave you to check in, freshen up, and brief you about the attractions we’ll cover on your trip.
Bilbao is one of Spain’s greatest cities and the largest in the Basque Country. Some of the attractions we’ll cover include: the Catedral de Santiago, a Roman Catholic Church, Guggenheim Museum, the old town aka Casco Viejo, and a boat ride on the River Nervion.
Day 2: Bilbao City Tour - Guggenheim Museum - Euskalduna Conference and Music Centre
The Guggenheim Museum is the city’s pride and joy and is famous for its modern art exhibits. The Euskalduna Conference and Music Centre, developed by Federico Soriano and Dolores Palacios, the Bilbao Metro by Norman Foster, and the Sondica Airport by Santiago Calatrava are some of Bilbao’s iconic buildings you mustn’t miss. Bilbao is the best place to sample pintxos, the Basque version of tapas.
Day 3: Bilbao - Santillana del Mar
You’ll move to Santillana del Mar by private car and spend the night at one of the best hotels in the city.
Santillana del Mar is a must-visit destination in northern Spain and one of the best in Cantabria. This medieval town is famous for its churches, cobbled streets, and wonderful architecture.
Day 4: Fuente De – Oviedo
The next day you’ll take a private car to tour the Picos de Europa mountain range. Fuente De is famous for the Picos de Europa National Park, established in 1984 and covering over 64,000 hectares. However, the day's main attraction is the Fuente De cable car ride for a spellbinding view of the Picos de Europa mountain range. By the end of the day, we’ll drive you to Oviedo.
Day 5: Oviedo City Tour - Metropolitan Cathedral of San Salvador - Archaeological Museum of Asturias
Oviedo is a 1000-year-old city famous for its architectural wonders and art museums. Witness the gothic vibes of the Metropolitan Cathedral of San Salvador, which also features a tower 82 metres high and constructed in the 15th century. The Archaeological Museum of Asturias offers a glimpse of the history of Asturias.
Day 6: Oviedo - Santiago De Compostela
On your sixth day, your trip will continue with a visit to Santiago De Compostela. You can spend the evening relaxing at your hotel and getting some much needed rest.
Day 7: Santiago De Compostela
Santiago De Compostela, or Old Town, is a popular pilgrimage site in Spain and stands as a symbol of the struggle that the Spanish Christians went through against Islam.
Day 8: Santiago De Compostela – Burgos - Burgos Cathedral
The city of Burgos awaits you on your eighth day, which is where you will be taken to from Santiago De Compostela. Once you reach the town, you can witness the Burgos Cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Day 9: Burgos – La Rioja - Vivanco Museum of Wine Culture
Take a train from Burgos to La Rioja and sign up for a wine tasting session to sample some delicious wine once you get to the Vivanco Museum of Wine Culture.
Day 10: Sierra de Cebollera Nature Reserve
Spend your day hiking at the Sierra de Cebollera Nature Reserve, hailed as one of the best-preserved natural forests in Spain.
Day 11: La Rioja – Bilbao
Take a train from La Rioja to Bilbao and get a good night's sleep at your hotel.
Day 12: Depart from Bilbao
Check out from your hotel and head to the airport to board your flight back home.
